Tickets available at 7/15 at 9am. As daylight fades, a whole new world comes alive. Join us for an evening exploration of nocturnal wildlife and discover the animals that are most active after dark. We'll begin with a brief indoor presentation in the Art Gallery, where participants will learn about the seasonal birds, mammals, insects, and amphibians that can be found at night at the Preserve. Then, we'll head outside for a guided night walk to listen, observe, and search for signs of our nocturnal neighbors that live here. Recommended Age: 8+. Cost: FREE. Parking is free after 4:30pm. Former Estate of William Rockefeller, this site boasts scenic views overlooking the Hudson, lush forests, and remnants of 19th century luxuries. Come to learn about ticks from Park Educator Martha, who has a background in tick disease ecology research. The program will cover the life cycle of New York's ticks, their role in our local ecology, and best practices for reducing your risk of tickborne illness. Whether you've been curious but unsure or simply didn't know this equipment was available, this day is designed to make getting started easy and comfortable. Full Moon Hike

Tickets available 7/15 at 9am. Experience the Preserve after dark! Join Shayla, Hailey, and Dave for a 4-mile hike on carriage roads lit by moonlight. We walk at a brisk pace and there will be hills; some hiking experience is recommended. Leashed dogs are welcome. Meet in the Visitor Center courtyard. Please bring water and wear comfortable closed-toed shoes. IMPORTANT: We leave promptly at scheduled times. This hike takes place after the park has closed; latecomers will not be able to join after the group has departed. In the event of inclement weather, the hike will be canceled; you will be notified at least 2 hours in advance. Max: 40 people. Cost: $4. Register at
