Tickets available 5/15 at 9am. Once temperatures creep above 40 degrees Fahrenheit, ticks go questing for a host! Come to learn about ticks from Park Educator Martha, who has a background in tick disease ecology research. The program will cover the life cycle of New York's ticks, their role in our local ecology, and best practices for reducing your risk of tickborne illness. After the program, you will feel tick-informed and confident to enjoy the outdoors safely. Cost: FREE. Parking: $6 per vehicle. Register at RockefellerStateParkPreserve.org/events.
