During the time of the 18th century 14 percent of all the world's wrought iron was being produced in the American colonies. In this lecture come and learn about the rich history of ironworking and iron production in the Hudson Highlands. Learn how items like the chain that cross the Hudson was created, see historic pieces/artifacts, and experience a live blacksmithing demonstration. All ages are welcome.
