Full Moon Phenology: Yellow Leaf Moon
Friday, September 25, 2026 06:30 PM - 07:30 PM
Can you be-leaf it? The Yellow Leaf Moon returns to our autumnal skies! Full moons are named for the seasonal phenomenon that they have historically coincided with. Make observations under the glow of moonlight on this dog-friendly moony meander with a naturalist to see if the Moon lives up to its monthly moniker. Note: Different cultures have their own names for each full moon. The Full Moon Phenology programs in July and September will be at Hamlin Beach State Park, while the August program will be at Lakeside State Park. Walks at Hamlin are 1 mile or less and meet at the front left of the Area 3 parking area. Registration is not required.
