Long Island State Parks Summer Entertainment hosts Adrenaline Entertainment's Face Painting. Add color, creativity, and excitement with our professional face painters! Children can transform into their favorite characters, animals, superheroes, princesses, butterflies, and much more. Our talented artists create everything from simple cheek and hand designs to detailed full-face masterpieces. Each painting is done with safe, high-quality materials and plenty of imagination. The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, in partnership with the Natural Heritage Trust, is pleased to announce Hither Hills State Park's 2026 Children's Summer Entertainment schedule. A vehicle use fee may be in effect and participants are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets. There are no rain dates for these performances. For further information call (631) 669-0449.

Join us on a walk along the inlet to look for all of the unique inshore species that call the Great South Bay home! Please meet in Field 2. We will be walking on sand for a duration of the program. We will stop along the way to do some seining! All equipment will be provided! Please dress to get wet, bring water shoes, waders (if you have), water, and anything else to spend a morning on the beach. Reservations are required at Eventbrite.com.

We will be exploring two parks for Monarch butterflies to tag and release! For Robert Moses, please be prepared to go into tall grass. Please meet at Field 5. We may walk up to 2 miles on sand.
