Tour the grounds by night if you dare. In the spirit of 18th century Gothic literature, costumed interpreters from the New Windsor Cantonment and Knox's Headquarters State Historic Sites submit for your approval a haunting tale. The eerie night-cloaked grounds of the historic Knox's Headquarters, the 1754 Ellison home, serve as a stage for this macabre theatrical presentation about strange happenings. This event is reservation only, please call or email beginning October 1st to reserve your spot! Be sure to include your name, size of your party, and your contact information. Join costumed interpreters from New Windsor Cantonment and Knox's Headquarters State Historic Sites at the Edmonston House 1042 Route 94 New Windsor, New York for a FREE program from 2:00 – 6:00 PM. When General Horatio Gates was assigned the Edmonston home as winter quarters for 1782-83, he wrote General George Washington: "Your Excellency's Dog kennel at Mount Vernon, is as good a Quarter as that I am now in".
